using parkson as the share with buying of 0.52 and selling of 0.55, what is the intra-day cost???
his fixed cost will be stamp duty of 0.002sen round house, a brokerage cost of 0.1% and 6% gst one way *2 will be 0.0011342. the total trading cost will be 0.0031342. this low brokerage is only possible if the individual investor/trader trades at least rm100k or more in a month.
for less than a rm100k, the brokerage is ard 0.4%, so the brokerage cost will be 0.0045368, add in stamp duty, the cost will be ard 0.0065368, thereby making it risky.
by this calculation, for intra-day to be profitable, an investor/trader must be able to give his broker at least rm100k trading volume per month.
so conclusion is that who ever can do intra-day trade must be a huge trader/investor to be able to generate this volume on a monthly basis.
Good news regarding online business issue (as I mentioned before in today's news).
Online businesses that can sell at lower prices as they currently pay little to no tax will now onwards be subject to incoming tax regulations.
Once online business cannot sell at lower price, they will lose to bigger companies like Parkson as they cannot get bulk discounts and due to economy of scale benefits that Parkson has.
@ JuniorR. Thanks for sharing beneficial links for followers of Parkson here. Hopefully, more will buy when they see value except for one or two irritant pest who have no position but comment daily with little knowledge of the industry.
