As long as normal delivery is shunned for cesarean, by private hospitals that move will continue.
Billing is another issue when compared to public.

However, today's women are wimpy and spoilt brats compared to yesteryear ladies of steel.
They toiled even while conceiving unlike crybabies of today, which enables normal delivery.

Forget about maternity services - KPJ has transformed itself over the last 12 months - to have a specialists section in its hospital setup, offering services including geriatric care. But main income earner this coming quarter and the next will likely be the vaccination services. Most people are betting on vaccine companies and distributors. I believe hospitals will be the place where the profits will be realised most. Clinics may not have the facilities for storage as do hospitals and since corporate companies have their own panels, ie. IHH and KPJ, and the likes, vaccination will likely to be part of the packages to be offered by these medical centres to their corporate clientele. This is not to mention tapping into regional "medical tourists" who may want to be vaccinated as well if they can afford it. Just a few sens thought

KPJ must be dreaming. Medical expertise around Asia countries are improving at rapid phase with quality service. Major surgeries are costing 40 to 60 percent lesser elsewhere.
Here the quality of doctors are suspect. Majority are there just for the money and to feel proud among their circle for being a doctor. Their dedication and knowledge is below par.

With cases picking up, it would be difficult to reopen border for international patient. This is a big roadblock for this year growth. Q4 result should be lower as walk in patient is highly affected.

With the coming availability of vaccine, one would expect private hospitals like this one - which has an extensive clientele comprising private companies and semi-government entities (GLCs also) - would be the immediate beneficiary. Ther are well equipped with storage facilities and expertise to meet on-demand needs than public facilities where queues are common and frustrating.

United Arab Emirates Claims China’s Sinopharm Vaccine Is 100% Effective At Preventing Moderate And Severe Covid-19

TOPLINE The experimental vaccine developed by China National Pharmaceutical Group, also known as Sinopharm, is 86% effective at preventing Covid-19 infection and 100% effective at preventing severe and moderate disease, health officials from the United Arab Emirates announced Wednesday, although with scarce detail provided about the trial.

The UAE health ministry cited an interim analysis of a late-stage clinical trial involving 31,000 volunteers as the source of its information, though neither they nor Sinopharm provided any data from the trial to validate the claims such as how many participants were infected or how many actually received the vaccine.

The ministry said “no serious safety concerns” were observed, though, again, no information on side effects was provided.

The ministry said the announcement is a “significant vote of confidence by the UAE’s health authorities in the safety and efficacy of this vaccine.”

The ministry added that it had officially registered the vaccine at the request of the manufacturer, which it says could eventually lead to the shot’s widespread authorization.

Look at the volume of people getting tested daily at private hospitals. Park City Medical Centre had to close its admission for testing yesterday because of high volume of people who want to get swabbed. Usually private medical centres do not turn away business. This will help you gauge potential of hospital stocks.
