One simple way to stimulated interest and drive up the price is to give free warrants to shareholders.
Or do something like Insas- give rps and free warrants

Florence~ is privatisation possible?

KPJ privatisation CONFIRMED

Posted by Thinkcarefully > 2021-07-22 18:22 | Report Abuse

If privatisation is confirmed why would EPFcontinues to dispose its shares
Surely the offer price would be higher than the present market price

Posted by peterlengzai > 2021-07-23 17:39 | Report Abuse

@Thinkcarefully, why would EPF buy high so much of Serba shares before KPMG scandal? And sell low after scandal is out? You better think carefully: https://www.bursamalaysia.com/market_information/announcements/company_announcement/announcement_details?ann_id=3154381

How is their Jetta Gardens doing in Australia? Aged healthcare still remains resilient in my opinion

Posted by wallstreetrookie > 2021-08-02 14:23 | Report Abuse

KPJ Upgraded to Overweight. A strong cyclical play amid negative outlook for the economy. Private hospital expected to outperform. 1Q 2021 slightly outperform estimates and currently optimistic as KPJ continues to produce market share gains nationally and internationally. Despite lower-than-benchmark EBITDA margins (18.37% - 2% lower than expected) and weaker cash flow, we believe that KPJ Healthcare Berhad is a great opportunity to ride the trend in population growth of 0.4% - 0.6% YoY (ageing population as well) and also increased demand for healthcare at 5% YoY, besides GDP per capita growth associated with increase in private healthcare spendings.

Other catalysts include boost in revenue from its nursing school branch, namely KPJ International College of Nursing as Malaysia currently faces a potential shortage of nurses at a ratio per population of 1:186 as of 2020. The next catalyst would the reopening which we expect would take place earliest by Q4 2021. The reopening is expected to further increase patient traffic and bed occupancy at a faster rate, which leads to higher revenue in the upcoming quarters.

We believe that KPJ is in a good financial position to capitalise on the latest trend in private healthcare sector other than its competitors such as Columbia Asia Group.

Only iddiiotts will fund an employment agency masquerading as health industry player.
In fact, most GLCs are employment agency for the unemployables.

KPJ compared with other similar healthcare companies is very much unappreciated and undervalued but it is getting attention of some private equity investors. Mind you KPJ has the largest no of hospitals in Malaysia and in addition has hospitals in Indonesia, Thailand and Bangladesh.

TPG, an American private equity group was working with JCorp on privatization plan. TPG is a very big and well known private equity investor and active in healthcare acquisition in this region. In fact TPG and Hong Leong Group have just bought Colombia Asia hospitals.

JCorp doesnt need much fund. Its holdings probably 60 %. TPG can come out with the fund to buy up the minoritiy shareholders, roughly 40%

It is certainly not due to lack of fund but the uncertainty caused by the very unexpected appearance of Covid 19 pandemic.

KPJ Healthcare Berhad Maintain Overweight & Strong-buy

Even though EBITDA and profit before tax fell 7% and 30%, we are still optimistic on the outlook that the demand of healthcare continues to rise at 5% YoY and population growth at a consistent 0.6% YoY. The lower-than-expected EBITDA margins could deter long-term investors, however, we opine that the reason why the higher fixed cost and lower operating efficiency are a mere consequences of a short-term government policy to curb the spread of Covid-19.

Short term price target: RM2.00 Long term price target: RM2.8
