PUTRAJAYA: Private hospitals can be directed to take in Covid-19 patients and their labs be used for tests once the Emergency Ordinances are in effect, says Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob

He said before the proclamation of Emergency, private medical facilities can reject patients who are positive and the Health Ministry has no power to order them otherwise.

KPJ got lot of potential for long-term. Their business is diversified across many sectors including healthcare, retail, education and manufacturing. Got 32 hospitals and 4 retirement homes in 5 countries including Australia

Earnings have grown at least 110% in the past 5 years. Healthcare is a good industry for long term gains. Lots of insider buying also recently including EPF. Bought into it at 0.935. Lets see where it leads it the next 5 years

KPJ has the largest network of pte hospitals in Msia thus it has the capacity to help govt in the effort to immunize at least 80% of the population. With this, KPJ is poised to lead pte initiative and Msia would be "fully" immunised earlier than Feb 2022. Having said that, to make a profit out of this exercise won't be the primary objective, but rather to assist all government efforts in providing immunizations.

Procurement of vaccines, if any, by Pte hospitals will only take place after phase 1. This pte effort is probable in view special needs by businessmen, students wanting to study overseas etc who can’t wait for their turn. The surge of 10% in 2 days is rare for KPJ.
