If MCA lose big in GE14, Star shares will plummet. If it performs a bit better, Star shares will go up. EPF bought at one stage (maybe a few months ago) some 12 million shares over a few days. You can check it out. I don't think EPF will sell everything.
I don't think Star shares will slump except they lost everything in GE14. Current price already reflect they will do very bad in the election. Let c how MCA / Star doing from now until GE14.
Newspaper with bias and obvious siding of a single political party, how to grow the company when there is no fairness in publishing news- A great media should be biased free!! Nowadays i read the star just to see which place is selling cheap groceries.

I agree that the CEO is responsible for the performance of his company. Please makes more effort on advertising sales and reduce those unnecessary big fat salaries and bonuses and keep some for us ~the poor fellow minority’s shareholders. In doing so the STAR share price would recover...
All companies you mentioned are doing old ways of media publications. The world already taken over by facebook, youtube, Amazon, Netflix, Uber, Jobstreet, Google, etc...
Who says print industry is sunset? If the reporter ‘CEO can’t get some advertisements some body else could. Please check the print industry growth globally before you speak.Multi national companies worldwide are growing every year. The capacity they could spend on advertising are growing each year. The old school way of advertising are always the best. Please check to see how much Public bank worth 10 years ago and imagined how much they could afford to advertise today and check to see how much Toyota worth 10 years ago and how much they spent on advertisements this year....just to give you one or two examples...
Now companies advertised in social media and internet, star is a dyeing company, better sell

Journalism profession in Star paper rot to the rock bottom. Just can't imagine Chief Editor is such an unfit person to screen through all the rubbish published in this low pariah paper.
For sure MCA is no more relevant to Malaysian politics. Can MCA get a single parliamentary seat or state seat for GE 14?
Vote for MCA means you want to retain MO1 as PM of Malaysia. Will MO1 continue to rob or steal our hard earned money if he remain as PM ? Don't take chance. Just boot him out tomorrow.
Remember, vote for MCA means you are helping to retain MO1 as your PM.....
One of the reforms to be adopted swiftly of the current government is to decouple political parties and media companies. Then what would happen to this MCA controlled media outfit? If this is true, the policy of the born again Malaysia is commendable..
This stock is gonna drop further, if PM is serious to commit to its pre-election promise of freeing mainstream media from political parties. MCA had bought a lot all the way to election day. Imagine MCA had to off-load its millions of shares on the market.
Those journalists in the Star Please ask this Tun where the hell he got the figures of national debts of one trillion...MOF or Auditor general or Bank Negara or statistic dept...?The previous government said in March that the national debts stood at 800 billion...so where the 200 billion has gone...?
Media Council is to be formed. At RM 1.10 or so, many large investors are interested in this company. MCA must be decoupled with this media company for a better and more progressive Malaysia.
@LimGuanEng... The 201.4 billion ringgit government obligations or commitments toward the PPP (public private partnerships) for schools hospitals...etc are local debts...LGE is trying to confuse the rakyat and he thinks the rakyat are fools...so again the journalists of the Star should question him and ask him what is his motive by undermining our economy...?
@LGE Please give a full picture of our nation debts...the itemised details of domestic and external debts...Even Local debts will increase liquidity and subsequently depress our ringgit...So debts are no good whether it is foreign or domestic but external debts are much more serious ...New Malaysia government should address these foreign debts 1st
