now the problem is After GST will property prices go up or down and if going down how will it affect Mkland soon to be launched properties in Damansara??? Will it sell well? Or will GST affect demand for properties? What do you think guys? As u can see all property counters are having a recession or slowdown and maybe the worst performing industry in Bursa after Oil and Gas counters...Tis might cause a great concern to shareholders of property counters...

gst will not affect the residential price.you don't have to pay gst on residential property but GST on sale n puschase agreement. On the other hand 6% on commercial property

I personally think properties market is at easing point.Australia is at this level on 2nd hand housing but not for New homes likewise Singapore. As Malaysia pricese will stay bcos has a lot of housing projects.Affortable housing will sell good with low interest rate.
MKland wont be any showtime unless the Bakar family push it.Hate them!

Mustapha Kamal lah ! MK Land stands for Mustapha Kamal & Kasi s land , 2 founders of the company, but 2 years ago Kasi dumped around 100 millions of share for no obvious reason causing the share price slumping to new low ....

Otherwise the price could have climbed up to 80 cents already !
His crazy dumping scares off many investors !

I know Kasi dumped the share.I was caught during theat time, lucky it came back n make some after that.To me MKland is belong to them.if they don't push it ,it will never goes up.If they don't sell the land prices will be the same. The landbank worth 5 bil provided they sell it or jv otherwise it is just wstland or jungle!.

If the major shareholders ve no intention to push up Mk shares, there is no way it can rise up...Syndicates also won.t manipulate tis counter as it is tightly held by Mustapha and it has a large share base...So the only person tat can ramp up Mkland is Tan Sri Mustapha himself...I am sure he has all the financial strength to push up Mkland BUT it is just not the right moment as right now it is not condusive for him to ramp it up as property industry is having a big slowdown...So for those who are still holding Mkland either u sell it to me at cheap price OR u just be patient and wait at least 10 yrs...Otherwise just give up and sell it to me at lelong price....I will sure buy from you at cheap cheap price....No need to talk so much here if u think Mkland has no potential just sell it and change counter as simple as that

I am very comfortable for it to stay at 0.42 or below for the medium term...I won't be frus if it doesn't rise in the near to medium term...In fact buying stock is a long term goal...I prefer it to stay below 0.40 if possible...Kasi let's dump your stake again!

haha Nemesis dividend is a must n is use to compensate bank interest only. When we invest in stock we r looking at dividend n capital appreciation.
If we r happy with around 8% return only , i suggest it will be more safe to invest in ASM OR ASW ETC ETC.

The only consolation with his company is they keep paying dividend without fail for the past 3 years already , my average cost is 40cents , the DY return is better than if I put the same amount of money in FD ! Almost double the FD rate

This is not to scare you...We might have a bull market that lasted only 8 yrs OR we might ve a long and steady Bull Market tat lasted more than 12 yrs...SO if tis bull market will last only 8 yrs then ur holding in Mkland is shaky....We are now in 7 year of a bull market but Mkland still bearish all the time very SAD

Plssss dun shoot up till next 2 years...Tis is the most comfortable and condusive price for Mkland...A higher price will only make it unattractive and ugly...Pls dun hope for capital appreciation as its dividend can quarantee sustainable income for you...I just hope tat Datuk Kasi will start a massive disposal of its stake for lelong!!!...Pls do it KASI!!!! We are waiting here...

One thing for sure property sales is going to tumble in the next 9-12 mths to come due to GST...Most ppl will stay at the sideline holding cash reluctant to buy property...Hence Mkland next launching is a bad idea as sales will be sluggish...Property counters are doom for misfortune due to GST and tighter lending imposed by govt...So i am seeing Mkland to plunge to below 0.40 in the near term due to bad sentiment...So if it goes down it is a jackpot bonus...Let is crash and doom!!!

GST does not affect residential houses. Nevertheless, developer will have to convert the GST effect to buyer by selling st higher price. :SHIT:

I can see Mustapha's style is keep paying out dividends to shareholder but ignoring to do sth to spur the share price ...
Unless Mammoth Empire can step in and take a big stake (maybe sapu all Kasi's share) then only the full value can be realised !! (80 cent - RM1.00)
Seems like only Mammoth EMpire group is the only developer keen on their value land at damamsara

What will happen, if someone offers to directly purchase Kasi's or Mustapha's share price at a value double of the current share price? Disregard if there's change of management or a new shareholder on board.

Lewis Lee

If that happens, normally the price will trade around the offer value ... As the public have confidence with the price. This is herd mentality , if a big shot buy at such a high price, the share price must worth as such , so they follow suit to panic buy until reaching the offer price

Bro Lewis, don't panic first. Let us hear bro nemesis opinion first.

Think about it, if this news will affect MKLAND, why today spike and closed +0.015? If this case is detrimental to MKLAND, insiders will be the first one to dump first. Even before today, this counter will be less than 40c.

So, relax and monitor the situation first.

I noted the Rakyat Post published the news at 5.48pm, that's why the public hasn't got the news during trading hours !
Anyway need to watch closely tomorrow !
Don't play play you know , last time Kasi dumped his 100 millions share, it whacked the price all the way down to 30 cents ! Now he still got 200 millions plus , can be double the impact !!
Looks like he screwed up in Australia property venture !

U think kasi cannlt fork out rm 44 million?

Posted by superspeculator > 2015-04-09 22:22 | Report Abuse

Westpac initiated the claim. It doesn't mean that kasi will be liable for that entire sum. It's too premature to say that kasi will go bankrupt. Court hearing haven't even started. The claim is just RM45 mil. Do you think this is a big sum for him?

In new court documents lodged in the Federal Court in Perth, Mr Kasi Palaniappan has argued a bankruptcy notice issued in January had no force because he "was not a resident of Australia [and] … was not carrying on business in Australia".

It is unclear whether Westpac will be able to retrieve the outstanding debt from an overseas jurisdiction, as it will likely depend on whether Mr Kasi Palaniappan has assets in a country where the courts would hear the bank's plea.

A Westpac spokesman said the bank was in litigation with Mr Kasi Palaniappan in Australia "and in other jurisdictions".

"As those proceedings are ongoing, we are not in a position to make any further comment at this stage," the spokesman said.

Mr Kasi Palaniappan is a former architect and university professor who had assets valued at $US127 million ($165 million) in 2006, according to Forbes. He is still listed as a director at the Malaysian company he founded, MK Land.
