“The announcement by Salamander yesterday is only about a possible offer, and not a firm one. As of today, Salamander has not extended the ‘put up or shut up’ period,” one source said.

The source added that Salamander had requested Ophir to submit an offer by Monday.

At this point of time, Sona’s offer looks more compelling than what Ophir had put on the table for Salamander, the source said.

“If the official offer by Ophir is the same as it was stated in itd ststement today, Salamander is more than likely to decline,” the source said yesterday.

Another source noted that the key roadblock for Ophir to submit a firm offer is the support from Ophir’s and Salamander’s institutional shareholders.

There is no official announcement saying that Salamander has agreed to Ophir's terms. Hence, that news you read on the above link is FAKE !!

SC wants spac to hv controlling stake. Not lazy and go buy part stake. When not operator one is subjected to whims and fancies of majority owner.
Salamander is lost making company. With sudden offers .. It's share prices gone up a lot!!! All these corporate exercises are red herrings. Jus put them in the news!

Ophir offer worth 103p now. Salamander worth 91.5p now. If SC approve in time. Salamander would be up. And Ophir offer wll be less compelling.

SONA should do their job properly lah ... Not Juz do corporate exercise. Salmandar losing company wants to sell off and not want share swaps. Swaps don't pay salaries and expenses!!
Pass one year already ... Pls wake up SONA management!!

Wow... So many negative posting. Well, just like maggiel stated, no confidence, sell off, ease ur worries. For me, hold... Still strongly believe that announcement will be released soon.

Even if ophir submitted an official bid on Monday, how much will and can they offer? If less than 120 pp or maybe even 130 pp, Don think salamander will agree upon and accept their bid. There are many issues to discuss and resolve, etc. Parties' interest and controlling power, salamander debts and more, not as easy as a clean cut and simple sales and purchase of company stake transaction.

Sona, simple, u sell, I pay u, u take care and settle ur own debt, we work together towards the oil field, done
