Sona yesterday already issue a circular that PAG shareholding is non voting right shares.

And i have personally write to SONA for clarification on warrants purchased after the initial IPO from the open market. They come back saying that if the QA is approved, we can convert the warrants and get the 8 sen capital repayment.

Posted by Dogwithabone > 2016-04-16 10:26 | Report Abuse

coolinvestor, thank you for the clarification. And I do agree with the rest that, to ensure smooth passage, Sona share price should start moving up. That will reflect confidence in the QA and the ensuing business operations. Also, it will serve to dissuade the fence sitters from voting 'no'.

1. surely sona already discussed and consulted all major investors and came back a much improved capital repayment and founders also willing to exercise warrants and fund the capital repayment

chances of approval is 95% just my estimation. all non shareholders naysayer are praying the QA will fail

if you are a warrant holders and worry day n night, cant take the pressure, then better sell lor

2. naysayers are saying capital repayment doesnt bring much benefits, as it is shareholders money. one brilliant stupid comment. since there is cost saving from investment in oil field during current low oil price, why not returning the money to shareholders and we are all keeping the same no. of shares & having capital back for other investment too.

what is this so different from other companies that pay dividend or capital back to shareholders - still their shareholders money, idiot

3. non shareholders naysayer are mentally retarded, if you are not keen on this investment, why not spend time finding other beneficial investment rather than praying ching ming QA everday, hehe, idiot

No problem mr.dogwithbone. a pleasure...plus i learn things too.
Cruise. U are right.

Sometimes i wonder what arguments are the naysayers trying to protray? Company this bad la that la. Cap repayment not good la..co nta go down la...aiyo

If u look at other companies majority are actually doing the same thing...plus heavy debt load heavy interest repayments to bondholders..sometimes i think they know too little n just jump to conclusions without basis n evidence of wrongdoing.

Even tho i agree that the share price shld go above 48 to be better...we have to admit that the latest cap repayment is very good. Its not perfect but investing in stocks are always subjective...those who don't know this really cant succeed lo.

Anyways all the best to all! Huat ar!

cruise, you're spots on..........when the company are trying to buy Salamander and fails......the shareholders made noises and said not much time left.......now they got a bargain buy and yet made noise that the buy will fails if the share traded less than the capital refund of 48 sen.

Kinda stupid thinking.........they never foresee the future and benefits and also the latest capital repayment and lower conversion of the warrant. ........what more do you guys want?.

Some people want to see the QA get thru because they truly believe SONA is a good company and will give them good return.

Some people hope for faster refund, so they want that QA get thru, beware of this group of people, they just say SONA is so good but without facts.

For me, I hope that QA get thru, as I want to see whether my prediction is correct or not, that SONA will trade below its NTA, similar to HIBISCUS's case.

Concurred to support QA purchase as per justifications:
1) Good bargain for this QA with revised purchase of USD25 million
2) Justifiable with serious effort of capital repayment of 8 cents
3) Strong management team with vast experience, adept exposure & good governance
4) Up trending oil price with target of USD50 per barrel by year end

to get 25% vote against is not easy since sona have more than 1 billion unit...unless there are syndicate among big investor / conerstone investor to vote against...

but I believe those buy ths ipo... with free wa... of course dont want see their wa become ZERO value.

some buy ths share later especially during oil price at high also will vote yess.

but there some people buy lately or below 0.45 per share maybe vote against since they can secure profit but I think not involve so much units...

with mgt sweat incentives. .. can pass ... see at grand hyatt hotel. ..

Given yesterday's closing price, I think the chances of qa being passed is slim.

guys ..if yr intention of investing is just to speculate on the share price than its not the right to comment on the biz side.i for sure am looking at the biz view of the assets and i think its the best a company can get. Most of us are waiting for the QA to be realized and look fwd to a better future. The mngmt itself has offerd the investors sure fwd gains and is still pursuing for the better of the investors and staff.
So i hope all of us genuine investors are not being redicule by a few rogue investors who has bad intention.I hope monority shareholders watchdog vis aware of this.A BIG YESS VOTE IS A MUST.

no worry, just small percentage of investors out to create noises, probably less than 2%

Siva Kumar and gangs already have 20% and are supporting the QA

the naysayers, can cash out or opt for repurchase, no problems

If I am so negative of the stock than why do I bother attending the EGM and updating you guys here who are so so positive of the deal but don't even attend! The stock price is an indicative and a good monitor of what to come. If the deal is so good than why is nobody buying at 0.445? Why is the stock still trading below the guaranteed? Why are the directors not buying the stock?

Fine, since you ppl are into yourself and so confident, than attend the EGM yourselves. I won't be updating you people over here.

sorry guys this is my own opinion if share price up now majority ppl will sold off to gain immediate profit & QA of course fail. once QA approve n after capital repayment of 8 sen per share the price will up slowly slowly with + good news up again will be like a rocket.

lkwwgp,

QA will get thru if price go above say 50 sen, all yield investors will sell their shares, and those buy above 50 sen will not reject QA just to get back less than 50 sen, which is a sure loss.

If you have submitted your previous proxy forms/voting forms and voted YES, you do not need to resubmit again for the coming EGM.

if you submitted previously and your vote is NO, and you wish to change this, then you need to resubmit the forms or else your previous one stand.........i don't think got enough time for you to receive the form and send by post b4 the EGM.........best you attend the EGM and get a form to vote on that day to overwrite your previous submission.

Buy 44.5sen and vote NO.
Get back 48.5 sen, 9% yield GUARANTEE!

mr.tan

your calculations are really EXCEPTIONAL

yes guaranteed 9% yield. smart move....whoa...

but if I

buy 44.5sen and vote YES
get back 8sen capital, 18% yield....DUH.....

isnt this better???

Posted by Wong Heam Kiew > 2016-04-18 14:54 | Report Abuse

coolinvestor, a big No, as you wont know what will be the share price after getting back 8 sen capital.

Posted by Kareemabduljabbar > 2016-04-18 15:00 | Report Abuse

Say you vote yes and QA approved and many things that are CPs to the 8 cts being returned, any of which many not occur. Say SC don't approve. Say bank wont lend. Etc etc. Then how ? Your 48.5 cts guarantee is not intact. The 8 cts in that sense is flawed. It is a guarantee. It is subject to many approvals and CPs. As in Bursa statement, SONA promoters will secure bank financing. Good luck VOTE YES.

If voted yes, no need bank facilities to finance the deal.......the company hv enough to paid for the QA price.......the Mgmt will exercise their warrant and the funds is return to shareholders as capital repayment.

The company can straight away taps into Sona for fundings through sales of the crude.............

So far the directors has done to their best after the failure of the Salamander deal.. This is 2nd deal and have different challenge especially to get shareholder approval. I belief someone will see the opportunity and help them to get the QA approved. See if miracle happen or not in thee fews days,,,

@coolinvestor
Capital reduction is your money. Share price will DEDUCT 8 sen. That is not yield.
eg: Today 45 sen, after capital reduction, tomorrow share price will be 37 sen. 8 sen goes to your bank.

YIELD = buy 44.5, guaranteed at 48.5 sen.
Totally different.
