Malaysia’s construction sector showed continued robust growth in the third quarter of 2024 (3Q24), expanding by 22.9% to RM41.1 billion, surpassing the 20.2% growth seen in the second quarter !

For Q3 20324, OCR recorded a revenue of RM9.9 million and a pre-tax profit of RM600,000, compared to RM52.2 million in revenue and RM300,000 in pre-tax profit in the same quarter last year. The decline in revenue was attributed to reduced contributions from near-completion projects such as Isola @ KLCC and The Mate @ Damansara Jaya.

One significant project introduced this financial year is Residensi Akasia, an affordable housing initiative under the Rumah Selangorku program, with a gross development value of RM287.1 million. The project began in Q3 2024, and the next quarter is expected to see double-digit growth !
