It will never be accepted as a standard medical practice as the risk is too high. No medical authority is going to approve it bcos the legal liability is too high. Who is going to guarantee that the sanitising/ sterilising method is strictly followed by workers? Who is going to check if there is no micro tear in the reused gloves?

The demand is higher than during covid infection stage i beleieve 3rd wave up trend gon be more powerful. Already a hint from supermax keep announce 1 month early for their quater report how confident they are. In my opinion i will hold till next year to invest other sectors mitigate their balance sheet damage by covid.

Good decision. I believe the next Qr result in Feb will be very exciting, Highest Qr EPS in whole of KLSE with PAT margin nearing 70%, oredi in KLCI by then. Will be getting nearer to SGX listing. Likely bonus 1:1 issue to increase share liquidity before SGX listing.

@kltower Supermax capacity has been sold out until end-2021.
kossan capacity also fully booked until end-2021 and start receiving orders for 2022.

Actually TG oredi sold out till Jube 2022. I believe Supermax should be same or even exceeded that coz they are on OBM style. Their pricing to end user would be more competitor than TG buyers. Only limitation for Supermax is their production capacity.

Ok coming to 8.50 again. This is probably last time it will visit 8.50. I have a big queue there to buy. Anyone want to run better run now before its too late.

Do you ppl notice there is exodus from Harta and most likely will benefit Supermax and TG

Ppl, pls keep in mind Supermax is currently the best performing counter in the whole of KLSE and is going to dominate the FY21 performance with the best EPS and PAT margin, with the best PAT margin of the history of KLSE. It would also have the second best revenue amongst glove counters just closely behind TG. By next month giving out good dividend and inclusion into KLCI. Within 6 months dual listing in SGX. Yet currently it has the lowest PE amongst all the glove counters. Apa lagi mau!

@Zuliana There is a major road block just after Seremban toll exit preventing cars from going to south side. Melaka and JB want to maintain low case numbers. If you are tired pls stay 1 more night in KL or maybe take a slow drive up to Slim River first for a night stay, then next day to Ipoh for another night , them back to Butterworth.

The main point of the article is animals can become agent of mutation for the virus to become another novel coronavirus. All vaccines can dump into the longkang when that happens.

@DJoker89 you have very good questions. My view is that it depends on what the company is doing with the windfall and billions of cash in hand. I believe Supermax is going the right direction to ensure they become a global PPE conglomerate. Locally., they are the only company expanding aggressively globally using the windfall money. Others are only looking at expanding their glove production capacity locally, but Supermax is expanding a range of PPE products and production overseas. They are more focused on direct contracts with various Govt's thru their OBM approach. Thru the OBM they are charting their own target markets, and in better position to control the ASP to gain a better margin but at the same time can stay highly competitive against other glove marketers. I think the big funds are starting to see that the top 2 in Msia now are TG and Supermax. TG with the highest production capacity of 85b gloves annually and Supermax with half the production capacity for gloves by 2022 but has other PPE products with global market OBM approach giving great profit margin which can equal TG net profit ringgit to ringgit , but giving a better EPS performance than TG.

@goodjoe thanks for sharing. Exactly my thoughts too. Just have to let the vaccine euphoria ride it out then reality will set in again later. In fact in one more month the number of new cases will be explosive and then the focus will come back to glove again. Meanwhile, just not let the price volatility bother you too much. Best is queue to buy low in the morning and go do ur stuff and check again in the evening to see if the catch is in the net.

Today I parked to buy at 8.50 in the morning and after that mo ngan tai, went about my usual biz. Glad it was done and closing at 8.83 is a good close. Tmr probably another roller coaster day and I will park at 8.00 and go about doing my usual biz, hopefully can get done by end of day. Will see what is closing price before next action.

I m not sure if Mercator should be the benchmark to use as its highest price was 112X preCovid price and at current price is 74X. But Supermax highest was only 19X preCovid price and current is only 13.6X but latest Qr PAT is oredi 27X QoQ preCovid PAT. Next Qr result will be at least 35X QoQ PAT.
But Mercator's last Qr result has a -0.43% net margin profit. They are not making much money but valuation overshot too much.

Only certainty is that increased demand for gloves either way, vaccine or no vaccine available.

I think what I wrote earlier is worth repeating again.

I think there is a sense of desperation in US and any semblance of good news is over reacted with exuberance which will eventually die down once the reality sets in. Although we may be getting closer to a working effective vaccine but there is still a lot of thorough testing and results verification that is yet to be satisfactorily completed. The Govt will never allow any vaccine to be broadly use unless all necessary steps of testing and verification are fully complied. Any misstep here resulting in multiple fatalities has the potential to bring down a Gov't.

I think Pfizer overshot its enthusiasm in announcing that their vaccine is 90% effective when so much data has yet to be peer verified and large number testing results are still out there. Not finish collected and verified. Probably the pressure of trying not to lose out to the Chinese vaccine has created such premature announcement. Even Biden has issued precaution against rushing the vaccine use into the community. Probably the excitement will run out soon once the reality settles in later, just like the Putin vaccine.

Anyway we gotta see how DJ and Pfizer share price perform tonite before we can speculate about KLSE tmr.

With Mercato down 15%, there's going to be some panic selling in the morning due to uncertainty and fear. But I hope ppl will hold on to their sanity and not simply follow the herd mentality.

Yes tomorrow those that are short term holders better throw fast , if they don't have holding power. Glove stocks will be depressed for a while at least couple of weeks until the picture become clear again. There's going to be much confusion and uncertainty for the next couple of weeks. Long term holders should be ok coz Supermax OBM model should sustain its high growth earnings well into post-Covid period.

And Supermax oredi have 5 to 10 years contracts with various Gov't base on strategic stock piling contracts as pointed by @freetospeak sifu. And Supermax will also substantially gain from the increased demand for glove due to vaccination programs. Also there is no proof yet that vaccination can protect a person against all strains of Covid19. The length of period of protection is also unknown at this stage. Is there possibility that Covid19 can mutate further and render the current batches of vaccine useless? Many questions yet to be answered.

Those that switched to AT and Mah Sing will die standing. The Big4 have orders way into 2022 with 40-60% up front payment.

No doubt tomorrow morning there's going to be knee jerk reaction in the morning but sanity will recover back in the afternoon.

@see2sea you are right. The dividend is many times better than FD and the capital growth is the bonus. I have also switched lots of my FD ontp Supermax. Good management with fantastic growth prospect. PAT 60% or more margin indicate a high integrity and effective management team.

@RJ87 I think the current focus is definitely on the RI and the issue price, most likely at 0.08 a piece. Don't think there would be any surprise dividend, but the 500 mil profit is a good attention grabber.

With Supermax you have to be patient to make money. The earning visibility is very clear and the corporate long term strategy s very strong.
