ZTrade Expands Service to Enable Two-Way Cross Border Digitised Trade Documentation

Onboarding of Pioneer Users Now Actively Underway

Petaling Jaya, 12 July 2024 – ZTrade, a Web 3 platform that facilitates the cross-border trading of goods with China, is expanding its scope of coverage to encompass the digital verification of Certificates of Origin (COOs) issued by the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC).

The enhancement will make ZTrade, the first-of-its-kind platform that provides verification and exchange of digitised trade documents on the Zetrix blockchain platform, a truly two-way cross-border facilitation service for trades with China.

This significant milestone comes just two weeks after MY E.G. Services Bhd (MYEG), the developer of Zetrix and related Web 3 applications including ZTrade, announced that the connectivity deployment of the service had been completed and live connectivity to GACC’s Single Window Platform has since been enabled.

With the recent activation of ZTrade, key trade documents related to outbound exports from Malaysia submitted digitally through the platform would be officially recognised by the GACC, paving the way for users to enjoy green-lane access for faster trade processing and clearance.

These documents include COOs issued by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry of Malaysia and Phytosanitary Certificate and other product certificates issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security of Malaysia.

As a testament of ZTrade’s important role in easing and expediting cross-border trading, MYEG has now received notification from GACC via its wholly-owned agency East Logistic-Link Co., Ltd to expand ZTrade’s scope to include verification of COOs issued by GACC. These COOs are issued in the form of Verifiable Credentials on the Zetrix Layer-1 blockchain.

This service can be utilised by authorities from countries importing from China to expedite customs clearance as there will no longer be any need for manual document verification. In addition, companies providing trade facilitation services, like shipping companies and trade financing institutions, can also leverage on the system and enable smart contracts that execute to automate trade processes and transactions.

Since the launch of ZTrade, the onboarding of users, namely freight forwarders and
exporters, onto the platform have been actively ongoing. More information on ZTrade is

What a pleasant surprise, after 2 weeks MYEG announced the activation of its blockchain-based cross-border trade facilitation services for clearance processing for trades going into China (exporters from Malaysia), today MYEG announced they also managed to expand its scope of coverage to encompass the digital verification of Certificates of Origin (COOs) issued by the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC) (exporters from China).

This means MYEG have expanded their services both ways, for exporters of both Malaysia and China by enabling Two-Way Cross Border Digitised Trade Documentation.

The potential of Ztrade and Zetrix is getting more huge with the activation of blockchain-based cross-border trade facilitation services for both side. It is very2 difficult, I repeat again, very2 difficult to penetrate and be part of the process with China custom clearance system. On top of that, MYEG also can process for China exporters. Imagine how big ASEAN countries market that do trading with China. Please read the above statement again and again from the announcement. MYEG is the first company provides verification and exchange of digitised trade documents. Getting trust and being the provider of trade documents services by both Malaysia and China governments is not easy. In fact it is very difficult to develop and convince both governments to use Ztrade, a Web 3 platform as pioneer to ease the process and make it more transparent and automation.

China has been Malaysia's largest trading partner since 2009, with total trade last year reaching 450.84 billion ringgit ($98.90bn). On top of that ASEAN's trade in goods with China more than doubled, reaching $722 billion in 2022 and accounting for nearly one-fifth of ASEAN's global trade. China's investment flows into ASEAN also saw a substantial rise, reaching $15.4 billion in 2022. This growth underscores China's expanding regional influence.

MYEG have started the Ztrade trade facilitation services starting 27 June 2024 and will expand its services to Indonesia by end of 2024. Next year it will open up its services to Philipines and other ASEAN countries.

It is a no-brainer for investors to start collecting MYEG considering the potential substantial amount of revenue and profit that MYEG will generate from Ztrade. Not only Ztrade is considered as ESG initiative for companies that moving to this platform, its usage of Web 3 platform and Zetrix coins will ensure it is future proof and adaptable to many countries that want to upgrade their trading documentation to more efficient and transparent.

The selling from KWAP seems stopped, the last date they sold based on the Bursa Malaysia disclosure was on 12th July 2024, since then until now, no more selling from KWAP. With that, I believe MYEG will slowly move up from here. The support level should be around 97 cents region.

In the AGM, MYEG clarify it holds an approximately 95% effective ownership interest in Zetrix Layer -1. instead of previously 56%. Zetrix have 1 billion minted zetrix coin and Myeg already sold 1 % and still retain 94%. However, the company intends to divest some of this ownership to strategic investors to enhance the value proposition of the platform, likely through upcoming ETF to be launched in HK exchange soon.
