RM2.50 is a bit high. 3.6% of my KGB was purchased at the highest at 2.35. My grand average is very low as i have collected KGB since Mar2019. Good day to you.

New growth engine
Going forward, the industrial and specialty gases business is expected to be one of the main growth drivers for KGB.

“Our exposure to this market segment will probably be about RM20 million this year, which is very small if you look at the Malaysian market size of RM1.4 billion to RM1.5 billion, but that also means huge room for us to grow,” Gan says optimistically.

Company rev =RM398 mil.
Gas = RM22 mil. Still a very small portion.
The core segment is UHP at RM278mil.

I am still waiting for the company to expand Gas segment by building the 2nd plant since its 1st plant has reached 60% utilization. The mgt said at the end of 2019 that the company will expand by building the 2nd plant when the 1st one reaches 80% utilization. Gas command very high margin at ~30% as compared to those of UHP, PE and GC.

For me, the most practical theory of investing in KGB is its very robost UHP contract from semicon especially those from China.

Q1. Prospect for the next 3-5yr
A: double-digit growth with continuing the growing momentum from the past

Q2. CO2 plant utilization rate
A: 40-60% because the demand up and down (currently is 60%)

Q3. When can get the Halal cert (into f&b industry)
A: expected to get the cert very soon

Q4. Plan for improving the profit margin
A: On the services sector trying to control the cost and industrial gas sector having higher profit margin.

Q5. What is the growth momentum?
A: Chip shortage for the UHP side which the semiconductor manufacturing plant is expanding to catch up the demand of chips. On the other hand, the industrial gas industry is growing quite well.

Q6. Target revenue for 2021
A: looking to exceed 2019

Q7. Operation disturb in business?
A: Yes, in m'sia and partly yes in Taiwan due to the tight SOP in Taiwan but the project still going on

A: less in M'sia and SG and more in China and Taiwan, but the market size in M'sia and SG also smaller

A: currently nope but if the chance will consider

A: Yes if the MCO successful, need to depend on the covid

A: that is the reason why need to diversify into the industrial gas business, there is having more recurring income

A: Company work very hard already but will try to get more job

A: Company technical know-how and depend on the chip shortage but the upstream will actively in next 2-3yr

My side didnt take note of the EGM since only few question. But one interesting is shareholder asking why need to open EGM due to the company already run the industrial gas business. The answer is according to the regulation if the new business exceed 25% of the total revenue then the company need to approve by shareholder in the meeting. On the other hand means management think the industrial gas will reach 25% in this year so need to open for vote

Management say can see the demand will very strong in East Asia such as China and Taiwan (cannot recall another one maybe is Taiwan, anyone know just correct me) in the next 2-3 yrs.

Welcome, this is the business model of KGB. In tech sector, everything changes very fast so the project is not a long period of project and get new project also very fast (but also depend on the capability of management)
