impposible.. they just gave div 0.4 ( adjustment for drip discount).. so this price is actually 8.68 ( if u had bought at the pre ex price!!

Surely paying dividend is part of a company's operating cost in a similar manner to paying loans, salaries, etc. A robust company's share price should not really fluctuate having gone ex-divi. However, the DRP element does have a diluting effect on share value.

Posted by stocksyndicate > 2021-06-02 10:32 | Report Abuse

Ex date already adjusted the values of the share prices.

Posted by Red Dragon > 2021-06-02 10:44 | Report Abuse

When can we start to subscribe DRP?
(thru. boardroom portal or TIIH portal?)

Back of envelop calculation: as of right now... i edited the prices to include dividends... PBB is ahead with 18.8% and MBB is 16.3% (unrealized profit).. But weightage is 1:3.5 ( for every PBB share bought , i buy 3.5 MBB shares (purchase value)

Just sharing another point: if u subscribe to drip at 7.55 and buying from bursa at 7.55 ; there is a difference in drip as below:

1. no commision
2. stamp duty not based on value
3. no clearing fee

only pay for processing fee and RM10 stamp duty

Pls feel free to correct me... as i am not expert

The No.1 bank with the highest profit and highest dividend yield, yet it is trading much cheaper (in term of price to earning and price to book) to the No.2 bank.

Don't miss this super bargain.

The whole world, banks are rallying and in US, many hit all time high.

DRP Statement and Notice of Election (including the Dividend Reinvestment Form) will be provided to all the entitled shareholders of Maybank (save for the foreign addressed shareholders of Maybank) on 2 June 2021 and the election period for the 20th DRP will close on 16 June 2021.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the new Maybank Shares arising from the 20th DRP will be listed on the Main Market of Bursa Securities on 29 June 2021.

Last date to elect for DRP is 16 June. Hopefully will receive their email on this soon (last round, I got it about about 1 week before the close date for DRP). If choose DRP, will see the shares in your account before 29 June (last DRP, i got it credited into my account just 1 day before its listing date). May be, too many accounts to handle.

Maintain OVERWEIGHT: Bell-weather MAYBANK stood out for exceeding both our and consensus expectations, making up 32% of full-year estimates.

The challenges posed by the pandemic appear to have succeeded in containing costs as evidenced by pedestrian increases in operating expenses, with HLBANK and MAYBANK even reporting lower YoY expenses.

I've taken my full entitlement which means an odd-lot. I may round down in the future but each share earns dividend, odd-lot or not

Bobvic96, confirmed Boardroom replaced Tricor. But we still cannot elect for DRP yet, till we receive an email from Boardroom, enclosed with application form, with the maximun entitled electable shares stated in it, right?
