Yogibear123 .... I dislike odd lots. To solve this 'problem', what I do is buy odd lots to round it up. Of course the price of odd lots will be higher. If let's say, you have 128 shares of a certain stock, you could ask your remiser to help you to buy another 72 shares to make the number of shares you own to 200. That's what I always do.

The numbers of shares allocated to you let say 1233 shares. You buy just 1200 shares instead subscribe for all. You can avoid odd lots

sorry noob here few ques to all the situ here :
1. what is ex date (is it the last date to accumulate the stock or is it the date the divide is paid out ) ?
2.now that the share price has dropped will it recalibrate our average price or will our average price remain same ?
3. when would we be given the choice to but units or fully claim divided and when would it be paid out ?
4. how much is the price of the stocks offered for dividends ?

DIVIDEND adjustment should be 7.945. The price open higher because buyers offer better prices.

zhencong0613: Let me help you.
You start bussiness with friends in January with RM100. Every month u company profit RM1.
So end of the year ur bussiness has RM112. ANd u secide to share the profit of RM12 among yourselves.
Now company is left with RM100 worth. and RM12 in ur pockets. Balance right?
Same with MBB , he give u the profit as dividend, how u expect him not to deduct it from the company?

Same rule!! Nobody will pay RM112 for a RM100 company... but they see the company can profit so good... they will expect better profit in future and valae ur company more just like MBB is doing now..

Now imagine if ur company lose RM1 per month and end of yr ur company is worth RM88... ur expect people to buy ur company at RM100 or RM112 or RM98?... same as MBB shares rules apply also,

I am confused!
I calculated my shares in MBB to be valued at 8.20+0.40( adjusted with drp discount + divvy)=rm 8.60


Pls help ( i failed in mathematics )...

Is the above assumption correct?

I believe this is the distribution phase by fund managers where the rake in the 10% profit by selling at this price to all those people who are impressed with MBB share price and folishly think it will go up forever... I predict this price will move down after this distribution phase000 IT will be back to 8.00-8.10 range and the Funds will sell slowly so as to sell as much as they can and show nice profit to their management and get big gaji and bonus.

Remember manay millions shares sold previously were all pakat pakat one and no profit or loss to any of these fund managers,

Now if u buy you must buy at this 8.21 price or sell also at this 8.20 price.. then u are stuck.. after buy or sell, u must wait for priceto go up by 2% or 16 sen to get any profit... They pakat pakat with brokers and they they can get some commision, maybe very nice pinjaman/loans or discounted fees like intraday can get 0.001% chagres.

So they all win win, just as brokers always win, even if u win or lose, they definately make money.. once u sel (1%), some body buys(1%), and when u buy(1%) , somebody sells(1%)... doesnt matter which broker... ALL BROKERAGE wins total 4%... cos must go thru them.

Easy money..u take all the rick and use ur own money.... they rake in the profits only...now u know why banks NII (non intrest incomes) so nice these days.. incl MBB and PBB and RHB HLFG...

hahahahah now u know the secret

Not much relevance to a TP without a timeframe. “Soon” doesn’t count as it describes a period of time between now and infinity, usually closer to infinity

@bimzy....TP means target price.

Target price is just what they think the fair value of the stock....and it's normally for 12 months period.

....but in stock market, nobody can correctly predict the future price....it may reach or even above that or it may also not reach.

1. ex date is the date that the existing shareholders are recorded for the dividend payment. after this date, even if you sell ur stocks u will still be eligible for the dividend payment sometime later. Viceversa, if u dont own the company s stock before the ex date you are not eligible to the dividend. after ex date the company s share price will usually drop by the same amount of the dividend paid out.

2. dont understand your question, they issue dividend based on the number of stocks you have, not the share price. e.g. you own 1000 maybank shares, dividend you get is 1000 x rm 0.385 = rm380.

3. as a shareholder, you can choose to subscribe to dividend investment plan ( if there is one) or not subscribe to one and just collect dividend fully. for this dividend, date of payment is 28 jun 2021.

4. rm7.55
