someone was saying these funds pakat pakat push price down and slowly collect,, then when they are satisfied , they will push the price up and distribute to small funds and small investors... where they park a large volume for sale and a large volume buying.. so u buy from them and sell to them also at the set higher price, Any thoughts?.. so next round u would have to wait 1% for commision and some more just to profit.

or
2. 4000*0.21 = Rm840 --> 840/7.55 = 111 unit reinvestment.
PLUS

With CIMB I could specify how many shares I received under DRP up to the maximum allowed (based on the strike price and my DRP dividend allowance). As I am (will be) a long term holder I just bought as many as allowed, including an odd lot. That can be balanced out in the future

Not true. You are entitled to 111 shares and will receive all 111 if you wish.

Or you can opt for 100 to avoid odd lots.

Bobvic96, i subscribe it all, even with odd lots in it. Reason is i plan to keep it long term. When i plan to sell all one day, only then, i subcribe it with the number that exactly that make my total shareholding amount without odd lot. 7.55 for DRIP is very low, so better subscribe it all. My plan only

In my case with CMB it would take a couple of dividend rounds to enable me to balance in full lots. If you have more shares you can specify just enough DRP shares to balance the odd lot at the next round.

Having the maximum DRP shares ensures you make maximum advantage of the dividend as the odd lots also generate dividend.

If you take everything cash and then purchase MMB shares, you would waste quite a bit of money buying shares on the open market as the MMB share price is showing today. If you want to use the money to buy other shares, then OK. However, MMB seems to be the best bang for the buck (dividend cents per ringgit invested) in terms of share price, resilience and security - better than Tenaga which a number of punters are very enthusiastic about.
