Short term pains is unavoidable if the government still delaye in imposing full lockdown. Most recent cases coming from work places. PN imposed Emergency to contain covid-19 but yet they failed. Najib was right that short term pains( full lockdown) better than long-term pains. Hope the government realise their mistakes. The rakyat & the poor are suffering.

Poor future generations amid potentially high gov debts required to combat virus. Unfortunately can't follow US to print huge currency papers to support economy.
Politicians want auto moratorium but when comes to gov aids, must be targeted. Lol. No wonder old folks say if somebody can be trusted, certain animal can also climb up the trees. Recalled one of the ex mof always said no money, but now also want gov to help more.

Government are buying time & just dragging on the mco. The Emergency is not preventing people from travelling around. And they are doing so poorly in attracting foreign investment into the country. Singapore a small island nation with high property prices gets the more 50% of all FDI in South East Asia. Malaysia offer cheap land cheap rental and cheap labour and yet investors shy away.

What does he mean "extended" is he talking about extending the current banks being helpful to the poor sods who cant meet their obligations, or is he talking about to a reintroduction of the free money for everyone at the banks shareholders expense?

50% of my fixed income from ASM is already in...and will top up another 10 to 20% if price is attractive.

Blanket moratorium is not gonna happen. Bank will only approve those who had salary cuts or lost of job

My guess is it will be blanket for B40 and targeted for M40 and T20.
It will not affect much because a lot of B40 is now already under targeted moratorium.

As the FM has said they might need to compensate for losses, may be BNM might act to release some holding fund to banks to minimise losses.

Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said a total of 11 sectors — manufacturing and commercial — will be allowed to operate alongside essential sectors approved by the National Security Council from 8am to 8pm.

The six pre-approved sectors under the manufacturing category included automotive (vehicle/components), ceramic, rubber, cement, steel and iron and furniture (for the purpose of exportation/).

Separately, the five pre-approved sectors under the commercial category included stationery and book shops, computer and telecommunications, electrical appliances, car wash and hairdressing salons.

I dont know why the current government is still gaining support from the rakyat. They r obviously incompetant in running the country. The pandemic has been here when they gained power through tebuk atap and after 16 months, nothing has changed, improved nor they even have any clue to resolve tye situation. What NRP phase 1 remain in force till the conditions met? Is that how they run a country? What is actually in their mind?

Government help banks more instead of Malaysians.... Let banks have 6 months more interest and now another 6months... 1 year addition interest Malaysians need to pay.
