The key to burying Sulu claim for good lies in Brunei, says SAPP's Yong
https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2024/11/15/the-key-to-burying-sulu-claim-for-good-lies-in-brunei-says-sapp039s-yong

Malaysian leaders have the IQ of a chicken, thanks for reminding Sultan of Brunei we owe him Sabah.

All this overbeck agreements should be render invalid ever since the formation Malaysia. Sulu claims can be shot down by simple counter sue to them for the crime of invasion of Malaysia, go seek damages for USD 1 trillion dollars from Sulu. Ask them to pay up the damages first then we'll continue paying back the grant to them based on the Sulu-Overbeck rate.

The British - Malaysia agreement should superceed all older agreements. Plain and simple. Does the Malaysian agreement stated that we need to pay the Sulu or Brunei? UN recognize Malaysia as a sovereign nation. Sulu is a non-existence empire as of today.

We can also argue and request DNA evidence of them being the heir of the Sultan of Sulu. Good luck proving that. If Malaysia can push the arguement that the Sulu is not existence today and that we made the mistake of paying the grant to the fake Sulu heir all this while.

I want to point out that PH are useless, only filled with low IQ trouble makers and non problem solvers.

All this critical dispute issues involving Sarawak and Sulu are settled by BN people. PH people just busy splitting hairs and creating petty problems that do no good for Malaysia.

Looks low but if you have all available info like EPF you will also dump sell at cheap price.

Trump just told China if they buy 1 barrel of oil from Iran, all China businesses will be shut down in US, no operating license will be issued.
China already agreed to Trump demands.

Oil price will rise. PChem uses oil to fire up their products. Other countries will use Fusion Power. Oil power is the loser. PChem cannot compete.

Regional overcapacity.

To EPF it's a SELL 😁

The Edge 05-11-2024 Part news:
'One market watcher said anticipation is rising that PetChem might be issuing a negative profit guidance prior to the release of its results later this month.
This comes amid expected foreign exchange losses and a step up in depreciation charges at PetChem’s Pengerang facilities, he said.'

Is there a possibility of a bad QR? Will share price drop further after QR?

Oh dear!!!. China is going to flood the world with everything. It is already less market demand and oversupply. They are building more petochemicals comples? It is going to be like gloves and steel, and the market is going to be depress for many years to come.

Those who sell from 5.50 till 4.50 committed insider trading lah. Quarterly loss announced here by insiders weeks before the official announcement. But the good news is the current price already priced in the quarter loss.

Anyone knows why the sudden loss? This is a one off loss? Please elaborate, thanks.

PetChem managing director and CEO Mazuin Ismail said the group is gearing up for commercial operations at its petrochemical units in PPC at the year-end.

However, he added that the start-up of the large-scale capital-intensive assets will have material impact to the group's earnings, which includes currency translation effects.

Next quarter will see PPC negatively impact the group’s bottom line as it will begin recognising finance and depreciation costs.

Such blatant insider trading.
Already happened umpteen times in Bursa.

All this while Pchem is profitable because of protection by Petronas.

Now with 50:50 JV PPC Naptha feedstock based on market price can PPC be profitable?

So basically they accumulated all the Forex paper loss of the 2019 US 9.8 billion loans for the Pengerang project, letting them out 1 shot at this quarter. Weird weird weird accounting.

US fed rate cut all the way to 0 in the next 6-12 months. All the Forex paper loss will be reversed. So the future is bright, this is the bottom.

Posted by Whythefuss > 6 days ago | Report Abuse

To all data driven members.
On the latest report from Edge - positive outlook looks as below
Net loss RM789mill
Assumed no forex loss : profit estimated RM352mill
Looking into past data from Trading Economics (Pchem Net Income 2010 to 2024 Q3 ) current outlook still looks good. Reason I say this, forex losses are not realised and positive trend in long run ( it will be a slightly long wait ) for this to happen.

For a fear on paper loss vs industry outlook in 10 year horizon, I see it’s unjustified.
I forsee short term risk however long term reward could be expected if a positive reversal occurs.

For coming days / weeks I will still see how foreign / institutions are behaving ( current period still with trickling sell offs). Slight positive ticks are seen on technical charts on RSI, MACD but if this is short lived I don’t know.

For now I’m taking wait and see approach with partial 1/10 standby fund to be added in PetChem.
