EPF never loose money on stock. Never buy high And Sell low. I have known this decades
ago. EPF goes into any stock with atleast 2-3 agents. They are trading between themselves.
Unless a Big shareholder decided to sell then only you will see EPF supporting the share
price --provided EPF is a big shareholder of that stock--(Eg Cimb )

Beside hng33 who care to do all these detail analysis on puncak, supported his valuation with facts and credible figures, there are funny people out there screaming 'ahhh the project will delay again, ohh price could drop to xxx soon bla bla bla' without providing any significant proof. It seems like they doesn't really care to assess the value of the company at all! Their purpose here is to gamble! Gamble price to go up or down! :D

Thanks Andrew King, I'm not worry about Puncak deal, Puncak is my largest holding in portfolio, with its water business model which is recession proof + command high profit margin >50% + cash holding more than 3.85/fully diluted share after water asset disposal, with or without deal completion, i'm comfort with Puncak holding.

Sebelum ini, Dato’ Menteri Besar, Mohamed Azmin Ali berkata, Kerajaan Negeri memberikan jaminan tidak akan ada catuan air pada musim panas ketika ini.

Katanya, mesyuarat Majlis Tindakan Ekonomi Selangor (MTES) akan diadakan bagi membincangkan langkah alternatif menghadapinya.

In Kuala Lumpur, Deputy Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid said the Federal Government was working hard to finalise the restructuring of the Selangor water supply agreement.

“The minister (Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili) had said the Government is optimistic that the main agreement can be finalised by Monday. So far, we are on track.

“Only one or two items have yet to be resolved but we are confident,” he told reporters after attending the Chinese New Year open house hosted by Tenaga Nasional Berhad at its headquarters in Bangsar yesterday.

The transfer of water assets should have been completed in mid-January but this had been extended twice with the latest deadline being next Monday.

I think, Puncak can't commence share buyback as it have not seek shareholder approval in the last AGM. There was no resolution to approval share buyback in last AGM agenda.

I don't mind, if Puncak re-initial back share buyback after water assets disposal. With its cash hoard more than RM 3.85/fully diluted share base, Puncak afford to not only able share buyback, but perhaps can opt for selective capital repayment to absorb minority stake and privatize Puncak. Rozali need not come out single sen already can fully control Puncak, all capital to be repay to minority shareholder is from Puncak cash hoard itself. This kind of corporate exercise did happen in 2013, when water concession Johor, Aliran Ihsan resources was privatize, capitalize by major shareholder on cash rich company cash hoard itself to repay minority shareholder stake via selective capital to regain full control Aliran Ihsan resources without single sen needed.

hng33, Rozali has only 42% before the potentially enlarged capital base, I guess it would be hard to achieve. A share buy back should help alleviate shareholders pain of seeing its price at this ludicrously low level though

Persediaan Kerajaan Negeri Selangor Dalam Menghadapi Musim Kemarau Tahun 2015

PERSEDIAAN KERAJAAN NEGERI SELANGOR DALAM MENGHADAPI MUSIM KEMARAU TAHUN 2015

1. Kerajaan Negeri Selangor telah mendapatkan taklimat daripada agensi-agensi yang berkaitan iaitu Unit Perancang Ekonomi Negeri Selangor, Lembaga Urus Air Selangor, Jabatan Alam Sekitar Negeri Selangor dan Jabatan Meteorologi Malaysia dalam Mesyuarat Majlis Tindakan Ekonomi Negeri Selangor pada hari ini, 5 Mac 2015.

2. Kerajaan Negeri Selangor mendapati bahawa keadaan pembekalan air di Negeri Selangor adalah dalam keadaan yang terkawal dan menjangkakan dapat terus membekalkan bekalan air kepada pengguna.

3. Keyakinan Kerajaan Negeri Selangor ini adalah berdasarkan kepada keupayaan Kerajaan Negeri Selangor menyediakan sumber air mentah yang mencukupi. Ia adalah berdasarkan kedudukan paras empangan di seluruh Negeri Selangor setakat 5 Mac 2015 adalah di atas daripada paras kritikal seperti berikut:

i. Empangan Sg. Selangor : 75.05%
ii. Empangan Sg. Tinggi : 69.62%
iii. Empangan Sg. Semenyih : 94.70%
iv. Empangan Sg. Langat : 94.64%
v. Empangan Batu : 89.07%
vi. Empangan Klang Gates : 86.79%
vii. Empangan Tasik Subang : 97.51%

4. Paras ini menunjukkan paras yang lebih tinggi berbanding tempoh masa yang sama pada tahun lepas. Contohnya pada 4 Mac 2014, paras Empangan Sungai Selangor mencatatkan bacaan pada 44.84% berbanding pada hari ini iaitu sebanyak 75.05%. Empangan Sungai Selangor dan Empangan Sungai Tinggi adalah merupakan empangan utama dalam pembekalan air di Negeri Selangor iaitu meliputi 60% daripada jumlah pembekalan air di seluruh Selangor, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur dan Putrajaya.

5. Kerajaan Negeri Selangor telah dan akan terus melaksanakan tindakan-tindakan untuk memastikan kesinambungan bekalan air serta kesediaan sumber air di empangan seperti berikut:

i. Meneruskan operasi pembenihan awan (cloud seeding) yang membolehkan hujan turun di kawasan tadahan dan lembangan sungai;
ii. Menerus dan menguruskan operasi pengepaman air dari kolam takungan di sekitar Bestari Jaya tanpa mengabaikan soal kualiti sumber air tersebut;
iii. Mengawal pelepasan air empangan bagi memastikan pelepasan dilaksanakan secara optimum dengan mengambil kira sumber air sedia ada;
iv. Mengadakan kerjasama erat antara agensi Kerajaan Negeri Selangor dan Jabatan Alam Sekitar untuk memantau dan mengawal bagi mengelakkan berlakunya pencemaran sumber air; dan
v. Penguatkuasaan yang tegas melalui pemantauan yang berterusan di sepanjang sungai yang terlibat dalam pembekalan air mentah iaitu Sungai Selangor, Sungai Langat dan Sungai Semenyih termasuk semasa waktu cuti.

6. Kerajaan Negeri Selangor juga telah memindahkan air dari terowong Langat 2 ke Sungai Langat yang bertujuan untuk memberdaya ketahanan Sungai Langat untuk Loji Rawatan Air Sungai Langat, Bukit Tampoi dan Cheras Batu 11.

7. Kerajaan Negeri Selangor juga sedang melaksanakan tindakan-tindakan untuk kelangsungan bekalan air secara jangka panjang seperti berikut :

i. Pembangunan sistem HORAS
Projek HORAS adalah usaha untuk menakung lebihan air larian sungai (stormwater) ke dalam suatu kolam takungan yang dikenali sebagai HORAS untuk digunakan sebagai sumber air tambahan bagi digunakan oleh loji rawatan air. Pembangunan HORAS ini dibangunkan secara berfasa iaitu HORAS 600 bagi fasa pertama yang akan mula siap pada September 2015 dan HORAS 3000 yang masih dalam peringkat kajian perbandingan.

ii. Pengurangan kadar air tidak berhasil atau Non Revenue Water (NRW)
Pada ketika ini kadar NRW adalah pada 35%. Kerajaan Negeri Selangor mahukan supaya kadar NRW ini dapat diturunkan pada tahap 25% dalam tempoh lima (5) tahun iaitu sehingga tahun 2020 selaras dengan perancangan penurunan NRW Kebangsaan oleh Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Air Negara (SPAN).

iii. Penyaluran air mentah Sungai Bernam
Kajian terperinci sedang giat dilaksanakan untuk memastikan sumber air tersebut dapat membantu memperkasakan aliran air di Sungai Selangor.

iv. Pembangunan off-river storage (ORS) di Sungai Semenyih / Sungai Langat
Membangunkan sumber air tambahan sebanyak 100 hingga 200 JLH di Sungai Semenyih dan Sungai Langat melalui sistem ORS.

8. Kerajaan Negeri Selangor mendapati bahawa penggunaan air per kapita bagi rakyat di Negeri Selangor adalah pada kadar yang tinggi iaitu sebanyak 235 liter sehari. Kerajaan Negeri Selangor ingin menasihatkan kepada pengguna supaya turut sama mengurangkan per kapita penggunaan air setiap isi rumah supaya tanggungjawab menjaga kelangsungan bekalan air turut dikongsi oleh semua pengguna.

9. Kerajaan Negeri Selangor akan meneruskan usaha-usaha untuk mendidik pengguna menerusi program konservasi bagi meningkatkan kesedaran dan pendidikan terutamanya berkaitan sumber air seperti berikut:

i. Sambutan Hari Air Sedunia peringkat Negeri Selangor;
ii. Dialog bersama industri dan pengilang;
iii. Program bersama pihak sekolah, universiti dan komuniti;
iv. Pemuliharaan dan tanaman semula pokok baka
