Yes kevinlim1133, it used to be pretty stable between 1.40 to 1.60. They however embarked on a change strategy to rival family mart and expand stores.
They have done a fairly decent job at matching up, obviously improvements and enhancements are in the works.
If it wants to move, or normally gaps up... 15 to 20sen in a day is possible.

MyNews is not so good. I can see their effort in competing with FamilyMart but somehow I still prefer going to FamilyMart for food. I give them A for effort. But their name not so good... MyNews... go buy magazine and newspaper... nowadays where got people read anymore, the only thing they read is facebook.

As Family mart is well establish and long time ago and it support by QL which is long establish company with good management

MYNEWS is just want start do FPC only & still in eary stage
want fight or same level as Family mart, more time needed

and its need to be some different frm Family mart, if not why consumers want to go MYNEWS stores instead of Family mart

well RainT, usually companies with high rate staff turnover is not good? announced many key employees movement before, isn't this a sign?

Its convenient store, people go at their convenience. And of course quality, price and speciality. If you think of oden in malaysia, does the brand to pop up first, family mart or mynews?

Now that the QR is out and the impact clear, the shares can start to recover. They added more stores which is positive and would continue to support future growth.
Might dip a bit but investors will come back knowing that the impact wasn't as bad.
I'll keep buying more for the 1.20TP in 6 mths

techical rebound. sold all my lots already. good luck to all of you. coming quarters will be worse imho, as their jv whsmith (which i believe contribution quite significant of profit before this) is still at loss due to travel industry bounds. Lagi, can't even breakeven with the new fpc.

Peeps, good news, finally they posted recruitment ads in jobstreet. However they posted under 'company confidential'. Wonder why can't post under their account? Consonant to this, another ads i saw (similar company overview) recruiting a senior finance manager, clearly indicates the turnover rate is high here = bad management. Run run run, unless wan get yourself stuck here!

both GP margin also around 30%

SEM is more old

MYNEWS is new

so future prospect of MYNEWS is not that good if refer to SEM history as many competitors, & low margin

Before this can have big share of market when family mart is still fresh but now no more. Also the management is very poor. High staff turnover in HQ. Many talents are not retained, maybe join competitor's business
