I'm holding on forever to this counter. But if the price is too good I will sell some and buy back later if it's cheap.

EPF fund managers actually very professional and capable. They choose good business to invest in. The high dividends for its members is not fluke shot. They come from good, long term investment decisions.

2022 …. 12.5 …. 22.95 …. 3.35

From 2009 to 2022:
Cumulative total EPS = 215.35 sen

Simple calculation:

From 2009 to 2023:
Its share price has risen from RM 0.75 in 2009 to RM 4.22 today = price gain of RM 3.47.
Its shareholders would have received at least RM 1.112 in dividends.
Those who invested at RM 0,75 per share and held onto their shares all these years, would have realised RM 3.47 + RM 1.112 = RM 4.582 in gains.

Thus, for these shareholders, PBB is a multibagger stock. (RM 4.582/ RM 0.75 = 6.1x)

Be long term greedy.

Keeping long or short, is very much depends on individual goal.

End of the day, what is the reason you buy a share? for making profit out from your investment. There will comes a time you need to cash out for own enjoyment, keeping long and endless is not making sense and you will just a slave to work for money but dont get to enjoy.

You can keep for long-term if you can receive constant dividends from a company

Posted by BlackDiamond > 2023-09-13 12:48 | Report Abuse

Cheeseburger l fully agree with you. Well Said! It all depends on individuals depending on their financial situation and also their life span. Keeping shares for the next generation is the most outdated concept nowadays. A good education is all what they need and after so should and after this they should take control of their lives and make their oun decisions. Eyeing for their parents money is the last thing that should strike them.

Right buying, selling or holding shares is depending on individual means. There are still outdated people in the mkt as well as uptodate people, instead of passing on shares to next generations, you still pass on your wealth to them eventually, isnt it the same.

Park RM500k and receive RM25 to RM30K div return annually sampai mati.. ok right ? After mati , hang over by next generation. Should be a better option than parking RM500k in fix deposit , with currency value uncertainty and no growing prospect.

Can get returns over EPF rate Divi plus share price appreciation should be ok. See how you handle your portfolio in PBB. Benchmark is EPF returns per annum, not FDR. FDR is 0 risk. PBB still has risk as share prices fluctuate.

Why does PB needs to establish 20billion worth of subnotes with 30 years tenure? No other banks are doing it, so far? Who is the big borrower? The Govt or Private company?

Great multiplier effects from borrowings to increase lending, borrowing to replenish loans.

I sold all my 600,000 units today. Very slow movement. Imagine if I would have put the same amount of money in SPSetia one month ago ... I would have been laughing my way to the bank today

Stay out. Global recession coming. If u have the holding power, then ride out the waves. If not, stay out until the markets correct. Interest rates bound to increase to counter runaway global inflation. This time is different.
