I have questions regarding to the blog dated 3rd Feb with the title "Difference between Petronm and Hengyuan". It says Petronm's refinery is a simple one which is suitable to process only sweet crude which is more expensive. However, WTI is currently far cheaper than the Brent Crude and yet WTI contains a lot less sulfur than Brent Crude. Also, it says that Petronm is currently unable to produce fuel oil that contain not more than 0.5% sulfer. But WTI contains only 0.24% sulfur and assuming that Petronm is using WTI, how can the fuel oil it produced contains more than 0.5% sulfur? Can someone here explain? Thank you.

Explanation in Petronm website https://www.petron.com.my/web/site/slider/20 under Port Dickson Refinery tab paragraph #4 says

"Crude (predominantly light low sulfur crudes) is imported and processed to produce a wide range of petroleum products that includes Gasoline (U95), Jet fuel, Diesel, LPG, and Low-Sulphur Waxy Residue (LSWR)."

Under "What We Offer --> Our Products", one can also find Petron Diesel Euro 5 with a sulfur content of 6 ppm, far below the 10 ppm required by Euro 5 standard. If Petronm is able to produce Diesel Euro 5 and distribute to 70 of its Petrol Station, why it can't produce fuel oil that has sulfur content less than 0.5%? By the way, 6 ppm is 0.0006%.

You have shared a very good point.

The management of petronm is more efficient and smarter than most of the people here have thought. The author is very careless and irresponsible. the title itself is inappropriate, misleading. and unfair to petronm investors . I believe surely there are some newbies who have sold petronm and switched to hengyuan after reading the article.

I dont think talk too much is the issue here, but hard selling a stock you own is. A good stocks need not hard sell!

2. What is wrong i strongly recommended a great stock to invest when it isselling cheap now.

My view
1 hard-selling is general term. If used in a wrong contact it can be very misleading.

If it is not me constantly clarifying the misconception of the 14B expansion plan used by the hengyuan promoters to sing down petronm. I believe you are still a copy cat saying what others saying, posting contradicting comments now and then.

If the major shareholder or any of the board or senior management were to sell then, it would require disclosure.

So it can be implied that this recent meltdown was caused by small players coupled with the lack of trading liquidity.

It could also be foreign portfolio investors being bearish about the country hence cashing in on their gains whilst the exchange rate is good.

i think is the same group of ppl that caused hy and petronm to go up in the first place is now causing both to go down whether it be intentionally or unintentionallyl, meaning they had stakes in both , so when they start trimming down their activities or stake,u see both going down.

We invest in petronm because the company performance is good
We invest in Petronm because there is growth
Most important we invest in petronm and willing to hold for life because it meets our stocks pick criteria. We will buy more if the price is cheap
We are confident we are buying a great company and we need patience to reap a good harvest
We know if we are too anxious to gain we will not gain most of the time.
It is futile to guess who is buying and who is selling because you do not know why they are doing that but you know very well what you are doing. So it is unwise to trade based on who buy or who sell. But if you intention is to make a quick bite, then it is a different story
