...next year with opening, bank profit should improves..and MBB has substantial business overseas (which is not subject to C M)

...last year (2020), profit was the most impacted due to provision for moratorium, MBB still paid 52 sen dividend.

Oh Yes, investment definitely needs to be spread out...my stocks portfolio only made up 60% of my investment...the other 40% is in fixed price ASM (earning a low returns of only 4%)...a very old uncle conservative portfolio....haha :p

Zxvvbn, your quite right, last year the September Dividend announcement was very late and was not made until December.
Maybank's Dividends normally are announced in May and September as they have been this year. So May next year is when to expect the next announcement (provided its not late again).

I agree with sifu stkoay. there is a famous saying that 'to succeed you must know the rules of life and playing it well' . Life itself is a gamble. example, why do some people like Uncle Lim can be so rich while others only talk and are jealous? I can share with you a story about my ex-boss who's related to Genting Uncle Lim family by marriage. He shared that when the government wanted to develop Genting Highlands no one wanted as many challenges and dangerous including communists, mine fields, very costly and yes, wild animals like tigers. Long story short, he took the challenge and develop it and are now reaping the fruits of labor. Same here, we can buy MBB when its on the dip or just observe in disbelieve about opportunity lost. forget about all the white noise here and there asking you to buy plantation and what not. at the end of the day, fortune favors the brave.

Yes, I took a big hit but thats Investment for you. you cut loss in one counter and switch to another. In no time, I will make back whatever the shortfall.
